Grinch's Green Smoothie

 

Inspired by the book How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Feeling a little cranky, tired, not so good?

Maybe you’re in a mean Grinch mood.

Just pull out your blender, and make this smoothie to start.

Perhaps with this recipe, you’ll grow your small heart.

Ingredients

1 cup of water

1 [grownup] handful of fresh green spinach

1 green apple (sliced)

1 cup of green grapes

1 cup of frozen mango

1 strawberry

(Optional) Ground flaxseeds

Directions

In a blender, combine all the ingredients. Blend until smooth.

Pour the mixture into a cup, only filling it up halfway.

Cut a strawberry into the shape of a heart.

Place the heart into the half filled cup by pushing it down into the mixture with it pressed up against the side of your glass.

Finish pouring the smoothie mixture into the glass.

If desired, add a straw.
